“MILLIE, WAKE up, baby doll.” I groan, appreciative of the sound of my wake-up call, and totally unappreciative of its intent. “Up, Millicent!” He throws back his covers and smacks my ass. I roll my eyes, but he can’t see me do it behind my lids. I don’t remember what time we went to bed last night, but it wasn’t nearly early enough to condone waking up before the sun is in the sky on a Saturday morning.
