“Lee is on the couch dressed as Raggedy Ann and she’s biting her nails like she does when she’s nervous.
“What’s up, Sis?” I ask as I plop down next to her.
“This is the first time that Nikki and I are going out together...you know...officially.” She explains.
I smile and pull her into a hug. I’m so fucking proud of her for finally doing this.
“It’s not going to be a big deal,” I assure her.
Before I can say anything else Abby emerges... from her bedroom in her costume. It took over a week for me to convince her to do a ‘couples costume’. Don’t ask me what the difference is between a couple’s Halloween costume and a couple’s cosplay like we did for Who Con. That girl confuses the shit out of me.
In the end I appealed to her competitive side and her nerdy side by saying there was no way we could lose the costume contest if we go as the Joker and Harley Quinn.MoreLess
