No matter how many times she whispered a plea for help, his jaw stayed clamped shut and he gave no more response than a small, firm shake of his head. She had no idea where she might find Molly Red, if she was even still in the City, or how she could track where Aisling had gone, or whether there was anyone in the City who could help her, so as soon as he left her at the gate she broke into a run, heading in a random direction, just wanting to put as much distance as possible between herself and the Tower of Light.
