“Why doesn’t she come and see me?” Max demanded, scratching his stomach. “I’m bored,” he said tossing a plastic toy soldier across his room. He didn’t want to stay in bed, but he got tired so fast he couldn’t stay up more than a half hour before he was exhausted. Josh was tearing his hair.
