“A tall crystal obelisk stood in the center of the park. The park was surrounded by a narrow cobblestone roadway, which in turn was lined with low brick and stone buildings. Jeremy watched their conversation but could not hear the words from this distance, not to mention that Lilian was pulling on his sleeve. “What is it, sweetheart?”
