Mr. Thursby, however, was nice, at least for the short time she was with him. Dr. Exton, too. Mrs. Rathbone did not speak more than she needed, never a wasted word, but her face seemed to give away a touch of compassion at the mention of Charlotte’s fiery welcome.MoreLess
