“I was so totally distracted that Allison had to repeat questions to me multiple times. I cannot tell you how my meetings went and if I had anything intelligent to say in them. The only thing I could think about was Bobby’s mouth on mine.
At five-fifteen I left my office and Arthur was waiting right outside. He was a little older than Bobby, about Bobby’s height of six-foot-three but much broader. Where Bobby was built like a swimmer, Arthur looked like a tank. I couldn’t see anyone wanting ...to go up against him in a fight, which is probably why Bobby chose him for his job. As soon as he saw me he walked over to me and took both my bag and my arm. He escorted me to the car opening the door for me. “Mr. Harber left a gift for you in the back,” he said as he closes the door.
Next to me on the back seat is a plain cardboard box. I open it and there is an envelope with my name on top of tissue paper. I pick up the envelope take the letter out and start reading: Hi Baby, I hope the rest of your day went well.MoreLess
