Thomas was awed, sickened, by Justice’s alteration.
Is she changed forever? he wondered. Do we have to take her home to Mom and Dad looking like that?
No amount of mind suggestion such as she had given to Duster could keep Thomas from seeing her unearthly strangeness. He turned away, glancing behind him.
