If you hide under the bench, no one thinks to look for you during hide-and-go-seek. Lottie says she’s getting too old for those games, but still, it’s a good hiding spot.
Lottie’s bursting to tell me something, I can tell. I can’t help but lean in. “What?” I say with a smile.
Lottie widens her eyes.
