After almost an hour of crying, Leah finally falls into a deep slumber. When I hear her steady breathing, I gently remove my arms from around her and stand from the bed. I cover her with a nearby blanket and leave the room. I’m not surprised when I walk out and find JoJo and Gabe, sitting on the floor of the hallway outside Leah’s room.
