“Is it all worked out?” Connor asked, sitting down next to her on the sofa and lazily draping an arm along the back and pulling her against his chest.
Samantha stared at her mobile phone a minute, a look of disbelief in her expression. “I… I don’t know…”
Frowning, Connor shifted his position to get a better look at her face. She’d been talking with her mother on the phone a fair amount that week and he could tell it was seriously stressing her out. He’d heard her talking with his brother... the previous week and he hadn’t missed her stating she loved him. Those feeling were becoming mutual, but he’d been waiting to tell her until they went to the roping competition. The weekend was going to be more than just the competition, he was determined that it was going to be the most romantic weekend of her life – she deserved as much.
“Well, what did she say?”
