“Your boyfriend’s here.”
Hazel curled her tongue against the roof of her mouth. “Shit. I’m sorry…” She heard Marco shout for Sadie to get off the phone. She could only imagine the din...er was full and tempers were running hot. Marco would be no happier once he heard she was taking the day off. “Look, don’t tell him anything,” Hazel pleaded, not quite sure which ‘him’ she meant.
Sadie gave no sign of having heard. “Or I could beat his ass with a tire iron. I know people. If he did something—”
