Every morning, my mother lets Soldier ou...t to do his business, and in five or ten minutes, he’s back at the door looking to get in. But some days, the minute the door is open, he’s down Division Street on the run, and you can tell he’s not coming back. It doesn’t matter how hard you yell at him or what you say.
