“They’d just completed their second encore at the kick-off to their first concert tour.
Dani’s face hurt from smiling as she glanced out and spotted her family standing front row and center, clapping and screaming her name. She’d gotten them the tickets, wanting them to be there as she started this next amazing, incredible part of her life.
Dani woke up every morning to find herself actually living in a dream. She was part of a successful band, a loving relationship and a family. It was almost too much to take in.
The three of them exited stage left as the concert crew quickly worked to break down their set to prepare for the main act. While they knew everyone in the crowd had come to see Lucas Bryan, Dani felt like Closing Time had definitely made an impression.
“I would like to go on record as saying this was the best night of my life.”
Neither man laughed.
