“Much, much better, thank you; hey, what was in that stuff you made me drink?”
She tossed him a smile, and then turned back to her cook...ing. “Sorry, family secret.”
“Oh, come on?” he pled in vain; she wouldn’t budge.
“Where’s Mark?”
“He’s getting ready for a dive.”
“Why, it’s dark?”
She didn’t look away from the stir-fry she was making because it was at a critical stage.
