Dishtowel in his hand, he wiped the last plate in the drying rack and put it on top of the stack of dinner dishes next to him. “Nothing to tell. He listened, said thank you and then changed the subject.” “Hmm.” No...t exactly good news. Riley didn’t know what to make of Slade’s evasiveness. The one thing she did know was that Skeeter, acting all domestic by offering to help with the dishes, made her want to jump him. If not right there in the kitchen, then later when everyone else had gone to bed. “All right, next question.” “Okay.” He folded the towel and leaned back against the counter, waiting for her.
