Lexi shrugged. “It was a normal, awkward first day, I guess. All anyone talked about was Gabe and the car accident.”

Lexi sighed. “I doubt I’ll have to worry about that. I’ll probably never see him again, anyway.”

I saw her at the grocery store the other day. He won’t stay away forever.”
“Why did Gabe and Austin fight?” Lexi blurted out. “You told me they got into a fight before, but why? Why do my aunt and uncle hate him so much?”
