“Clive searched the outer office and walked through the rest of his condo, but couldn’t find her. He walked back into his bedroom and sat at his desk. He tried her cell number but no one picked up. He tapped his leg and drummed his fingers on the desktop. Where could she be? Why would she leave without telling him or leaving a note behind? He had been asleep, but she could’ve left him a note.
