He struggled to sit up, and waited until the dizziness passed. ‘How did I get here?’ ‘I found you in the chapel.’ The man leaned closer. ‘It was not safe to leave you there, and so now you are here at my little vineyard, safely hidden, and—’ ‘Where’s my horse?’ ‘He, too, is safely hidden.’ The man smiled.
