All around us, Londoners reveled in The Green Park on a summe...r afternoon. Some filled its classic, awning-striped deck chairs, enjoying the newly blue skies and meager sunshine. Others relaxed on the rolling grass or atop picnic blankets. The unluckiest ones followed the paths winding amid the tall London plane trees, scurrying from Buckingham Palace and St. James’s Park on one side of the royal park to the Tube station that lay on the other.
