The sound of its fall was only a tinkle, but a second later it grew as it reverberated through the rest of the buckets, while apprehension propagated through the people. Linden tensed. For several moments nothing happened, and then she felt a sharp jab in the ribs and smelled old Gara's foul breath. "Ts, ts," she hissed in her ear, "can't even hold the bucket properly.
