“She peeked over at Maria stretched out on the bed beside her. “Are you sure he’ll come to us tonight?” She couldn’t help asking again. She felt like a teenager waiting for a first date.
It wasn’t exactly like Adam had set a time and place for being their third, but she’d assumed he’d want to stake out his territory sooner than later.
