“He scowled at the storefront, then transferred his scowl to Penny. Though it was only three in the afternoon, on a beautiful fall day in a safe little city like Silverdell, he obviously didn’t approve.“You sure you don’t want me to wait for you?”“I’ll be fine,” Penny said. “I could walk home, if I had to.
