“Okay, so let's finish up our shift. We’re running late.”
Patrick said, “I don’t think that Scott and Chandler are going to be in too big of a rush to get moving on a round of guard duty. We finish our shift when our work is done.”
“You know the way that you take charge of your duty you’d think that you were a seven foot tall soldier,” Bella said. “I think any camp that has you in it would be lucky to have you. You think... you are going to be here forever, Patrick?”
Patrick nodded and said, “The only way I’d ever leave is if there wasn’t anyone left. Or if Shaun left to go wage a war on the dead somewhere else. I’d probably follow him anywhere. He has ideas like no one else, but he needs someone by his side that knows what they’re doing and can keep calm when the crap hits the fan.”
