“Didn’t you want to go for a swim?” she asked Lalla.
She wanted to be alone. It was a nuisance that Lalla and Nedim were here. She needed to think, not to keep up a conversation.
“Aren’t you going?”
She shrugged. “Maybe . . . You two, go.”
