This was one of my most anticipated releases of 2016, so I was very happy when my friend pre-ordered it for my birthday. I really enjoyed this book. It was really cool to see the story through Apollo's eyes. He is so funny. This book actually had me laughing out loud.
[ I loved the part when Apollo goes to Percy and we see he is on the swim team. I am really sad Percy won't be a huge part of the book series but I happy he and Annabeth will be going to college together. Yay! Percabeth!
I was so

...

happy when Leo came back. I missed him so much. I loved how the campers formed a line to punch him. I am wondering is he going to be questing with Apollo or is he just going to be giving him a ride. I can't wait to see his reunion with the rest of the seven. It was also really cool to see Calypso and Percy see each other again. I loved when they hugged. I am so happy Leo and Calypso are a couple they are so cute together.
Okay now time to talk about Apollo and Meg. Man, that betrayal was just mind blowing I did not see that coming at all. I was in such shock that I was denying what just happened. And I was shipping Meg and Apollo so hard. I mean come on they are so cute together. I really hope Meg ends up betraying Nero.
I loved the chapter titles. The haikus were hilarious. I really enjoyed seeing Rhea because you don't hear anything about her after Kronos dies. I have always wondered what happened to her. I also enjoy this new villain. It is cool to finally know who sponsored Luke. Emperor Nero will be interesting villain to beat. Kronos and Gaea are a lot different than Nero. (hide spoiler)] All in all I really enjoyed this book and can't wait for the next one

This book. Was. Awesome. And that includes the other two that have come out so far! I was a little disappointed that everybody seemed to use Apollo as a scapegoat- maybe because they swear to the gods and now he's one of them. But seriously, Lester gets tortured and no one asks if he's okay. He isn't immortal anymore, you know. Zeus wins worst dad (Thalia, Jason, and now Apollo? Come on), Sally Jackson is a queen, Percy and Mrs. O'Leary are great, but I'm not very sure about Meg just yet. Oh, and I would pay serious cash to see how the campfire sing-a-long went...

That ending tho! Left me laughing so hard that I couldn't get a word out except for one- Gesundheit.

This series is an awesome addition to the PJO universe. Apollo- or should I say, Lester- is hilarious and really puts things in perspective with his fear of death, even as an immortal. Love all the cameos- especially at the end :) Nico, put me on the waiting list!
