“Damon’s eyes raked down her feminine figure, hidden behind the dress that he’d grown to hate. “Oh yes, my beautiful wife, we’re doing this. You want a family, so do I. It is the reason I am here tonight instead of waiting a few more months for Christmas.”
Her eyes widened with that declaration. “Ah! You decide that you want to acknowledge your wife so you just arrive on the doorstep and announce that we’re going to…” She couldn’t finish that sentence, her face flaming with color. “Have sex?” he offered, still moving closer. “Make love? Are there any other gentle euphemisms that you’d like me to use for the act so that I don’t offend your delicate sensibilities?”
“Stop it!” she snapped at him, her back knocking into the bed. Her eyes darted to the left and right, trying to find an escape. “I don’t want this!”
“I’ll bet I can get you to the point where you want this,”
