He realized that he could still taste India on his lips. The brandy had not chased her away. That sweet, floral scent that always surrounded her—he could smell it on himself now, and his body clenched with unspent desire.
The image of her, lips parted from his kiss, eyes glazed with passion, teased him and he swallowed down the last of the brandy in an effort to dispel it from his mind.
