There were people shouting, and alarms wailing. I could hear sirens too. It sounded like the hospital had become a war zone.”
I paused for a moment to write everything down Chad had told me and then stared thoughtfully at my notes. A breeze rustled across the ground, sweeping away the leaves from nearby trees.
