“I can’t believe I hugged our instructor. In front of everyone. In the middle of a training session.
I deserve to be mocked and laughed at.
What kind of idiot does that?
My pride totally obliterated, I skip dinner to search for Roy. I need to try to convince him to come back to training. There’s no way I can eat. Thanks to feeling like a complete moron about what happened during training, and a bitch for crushing Roy’s feelings, my insides are twisting and churning. Anything I try to eat would either get stuck on the way down, or immediately come back up.
But a couple hours later, I go back to the dorm, sit on my bed, stare at the floor, and wish I could rewind time. I can’t find Roy. I can’t warn him.
An hour later the room is filled with the frenetic jabbering of the other trainees. But still no Roy. He’s gone.
“You’ll never believe what happened at dinner!”
