I really enjoyed this! Thanks for publishing it, Mrs. West, and thanks to all those people who persuaded her to.***REVIEW TO BE HEAVILY, HEAVILY EDITED***The characters were so likable. Skye is a beautiful name in itself, and I appreciated the living-above-a-doll-store and graveyard situation. It was unique. But best of all was Caymen. She's such an interesting character, and I love, love, love how the book was in first-person, only in Caymen's perspective, because I ADORE unrelia
...ble narrators. Also, her humor? Oh, my appreciation cannot be put in words. And I am not being sarcastic. (And Sean? So endearing, I can't even. And it made so much sense that she calls her grandparents by her first names. I was wondering if the ending was just going to be too perfect, and she calls them Grandma and Grandpa, and everything is rainbows, and I guess it sort of was, but not really. Not so much that I disliked it. I'm sort of used to those endings, and they're nice to read. And besides, her life before was worse in terms of the after. I was sometimes confused why Caymen reacted like she did, but all of them were explained, which was good. Xander is a very nice character - love the hot cocoa thing. That's unique and so much potential for shipping.Oh, and that girlfriend situation? It might be a cliché, but I liked it very much. (At Caymen's expense.) I'm really sorry to the people involved with the cover if I hurt your feelings, but boy, that cover almost turned me away from this book, to be absolutely blunt. I'm sort of against using models on book covers when it doesn't really make sense with the book (the dress is pink. and several other details) - I see it as a bit too commercial for my taste. (And I get that everything can't match. I just don't like those types of book covers, that's all. Yes, throw that old idiom at me.) So I got it on my Kindle. The font's cute, though.

The main character's dry humor is 50% or more of her dialogue! She's funny and this is a cute teen love story
