Jas says: I think I even loved this book more than the whole Revelation Series. I think it was because of Gwen. In Riyria Revelation you just get glimpses of her in connection with Royce, but here you really get to know her and love her. And for me that's really strange, because in the last years I seldom find myself liking female characters. But Gwen ... I adore her. I really want to know more of her side of the story. Not to say I didn't like how Royce and Hadrian got to know each other. I just ...love those two guys. It was interesting to see a more uncivilized version of Royce, because, well, he's my favorite and I want to know everything about him. So I wouldn't say no, getting a book for each year Riyria was out and about, but you know, I settle for glimpes. And just for anyone interested, I read the Chronicles after Revelations, and where I am more likely to read books and series in there chronological order, here the published order fits better. So, on to The Rose and the Thorn. JANGRA says: It's so hard to find good fantasy book these days, looking for one?You really should check "The Crown Tower" by Michael J. Sullivan! It's best book out of all Riyria stories and of course as the previous ones follows adventures of Royce Melborn and Hadrian Blackwater. Meanwhile The Riyria Revelations series tells the story of their friendship, in "The Crown Tower" we see the very beginning of Royce's and Hadrian's acquaintance and let me just tell you... a lot happens in there! Both Riyria Revelations and Chronicles have a special place in my heart and I'm pretty sure that if you give them a chance you won't regret it!MoreLessRead More Read Less
