“He raised the Rollerblades. Raised them high over my head. “Sandy—!” I cried, throwing up my hands to shield myself. “You shouldn’t leave these on the floor,” he said softly. “Someone could trip over them.” He lowered them to a shelf against the wall. “Someone could get hurt,” he added in a whisper.
