Doris and May, kept in line and ably assisted by Karen, May’s daughter-in-law, had really come up trumps on the catering side and between them prepared enough delicious buffet food to feed a ravenous regiment – and there wouldn’t be anything so mundane as a curled-up sandwich in sight.
