“There was a piece of paper taped to the front desk with the words “Dining Room” written in thick black letters and an arrow pointing toward an open door at the far end of the room.I walked through.There were several folding tables set up around a large brick fireplace. The fire burning inside was warm and smelled like autumn. The only people I saw were an older couple playing cards at one table, and a girl in a black hooded sweatshirt at another.
