I loved the vibe, and the culture was every bit an education. With tolerance for individuality, you could be anybody or anything you wanted.
    I worked a lot to afford the lifestyle, so school took a backseat. I transferred my credits to UCLA, taking a part-time load, changing my major to broadcasting.
