I glanced at Christy in the backseat several times to make sure she was all right. Her eyes were big but she didn’t seem frightened. Giselle wanted to know the details of Alice falling and what the doctor had said. Because Christy was with us, I gave her the short version and then said Will was flying in tonight.
“Really?” she said. “I can’t imagine little Will all grown-up.”
