““There’s no time for breakfast,” Tom said grimly, as he and Elenna lifted Victor onto Storm’s saddle. “We need to get going — now.” He couldn’t say why things were so urgent in front of Victor, but the boy’s condition wasn’t good and they had to get him to a doctor as soon as possible. Victor was slipping in and out of consciousness and was barely able to talk. They reached Dareton as the sun rose.
