“Now on the second day of their journey home, they were making better time than he could have possibly hoped for. The anticipation of seeing his son after being parted for over a month was enough to make him push the group even harder. They were all exhausted, and he could tell by the dark circles under their eyes that the four hours of sleep the night before hadn't been near enough, but he had no desire to stop.
