““Is he going to be mad that we’re here?” Although by his tone of voice I think he already knows the answer to that question. And my silence only reconfirms it. I’m rethinking my stance on not mentioning to Cole that my family and I aren’t exactly on speaking terms.
I probably should have filled him in so he could have made his own choice about getting involved in this. But I had really thought we could sneak in and out under the radar while my dad and mom were at work.
