    As he said so, a goblin passed by, selling hatpins for fifty cents apiece.
    “Do ladies still wear hats?” asked McGuire.
    “You don't come here very often, do you?” said Mallory.
    “Never.”
    Mallory smiled

    “But they don't have any hats,” said McGuire.
