I don’t think I could handle waiting another hour or so to eat. When I’ve done that lately, it hasn’t done me any favours. He was coming out here earlier to put up a few shelves in his Pop’s garage, and I told him I had an assignment to finish and would come out later. I smile to myself as I think of how Aidan’s Nan, Beatrice, doted on his grandpa the last time we came out. He grew up in a house full of love, even without a father.As I slow down to turn into the driveway, the rusty metal gate is closed with a sign made out of a cardboard box tied to it. Turn up the next driveway on the left Are they patching up the potholes in the gravel driveway? Are the sheep loose in the front paddock again? How strange.I drive another couple of hundred metres, and turn left into an open gate.
