“Her heart began to knock against her ribs. There was a rushing in her ears, and she was sure her knees were going to buckle at any second.

“What are you doing here?” she demanded.
For a moment, he didn’t move as he looked at her. Then he sat back in his chair and swept his hand from one side of the room to the other. “This is my domain.”
