James Grant (1802-1879) was a British newspaper editor. He helped to found the Elgin Courier in 1827, editing it until 1833. Moving to London, he worked on the Standard, the Morning Chronicle and the Morning Advertiser. He also edited the London Saturday Journal (1839-1841) and Grant's London Journal (1841-42).
