“Rena laughed, examining me like I’d had a lobotomy. Maybe I had. Sitting on the couch retelling the events of last night sounded ridiculous even to my own ears. I pulled my knees to my chest and grabbed my Minnesota Vikings fleece blanket. I needed comfort. “Son of a bitch,” Rena moaned, ransacking the cabinets. “We don’t have any breakfast food.
