When we were through the gates, I smiled. It was the strangest feeling, like she had blessed me with her magic and I felt free. I wasn't even worried that I would see my family.     The coach stopped and my stomach sank. My nerves were back. A man walked to me as my doorman opened the door. The man smiled and offered me a white lacy mask. “Milady.” I touched it and imaged it would make my eyes seem as though they had wings.
    I took it and smiled back, “Thank you.”
