“Maybe nothing more than give him a piece of her mind and tell him Derek was a good man who didn’t deserve to be fired. She didn’t imagine a person like Saldino would care what she thought about him, but she had to do something to help Derek. When she got to the restaurant, it was already closed for the night. Figgy. She cupped her hands together and peeked through the frosted windows, hoping someone might still be inside. If they were, perhaps they might be able to tell her where Saldino lived.... Although she didn’t see anyone, she saw a light coming from the back of the restaurant. It was probably some poor cook or dishwasher cleaning up the place.
