We’d been ahead by two runs at the bottom of the third, but then Dawn caught a line drive and hurt her hand, and even though she kept saying she was fine, she made a few errors and you could tell that she was afraid to catch the ball. Then Mr. Vince figured out that Monet’s information was all wrong, and before we knew it, they were ahead, 5–4.
Now the bases were loaded, and since there was only one out, we were in some serious trouble.MoreLess
