“Once that was finished she’d been taken to the general’s destroyer. Thankfully she and Bracken had woken early so that they could hammer out the kinks in the contract they wanted to draw up between them. It had been a bit more detailed than she’d anticipated, but in the end it was what they both wanted and needed. It put a clear definition to what they wanted in life, together.
She was seated on a bench in the guest quarters on the general’s ship with his wife, Adira, talking to her.
