Okay, I’d just been contemplating not answering the call, but it had nothing to do with him. Guilt fell over me. Did he know that Cole had kissed me? Maybe Lily had already called him. But she didn’t have his phone number, right?

“Is something wrong?” I asked as I stopped on the stairs.
